Anjirbag examines Disney’s storytelling practices to reveal how the corporation has influenced public understanding of what fairy tales are – and who is allowed to appear within them. From the 1989 animated The Little Mermaid to the 2023 live-action remake starring Halle Bailey, Anjirbag unpacks the real‑world impacts on the people and cultures the studio has historically misrepresented.
